The Alpine town of Brig is centrally located in the valley floor of the Valais Alps. From Brig train station, you can travel directly to the winter sports resorts by postbus or regional railway. In less than an hour you can reach, for example: Rosswald, Rothwald, Simplon Pass, Blatten Belalp, Aletsch Arena and Bellwald.
There are several sports shops in and around Brig that hire out equipment. Cross-country skiing equipment is best hired directly on site, i.e. in Goms.
